About ResQue

During the 2016 floods in Baton Rouge, Brad Gottsegen, Drew Herrington, Andrew Shuford and Ben Sarrat, who's friendship developed through involvement in the New Orleans charity event Hogs for the Cause, decided that they wanted to extend their philanthropic reach and help support communities in the wake of natural disasters.

These men, along with a strong network of New Orleanians, understand the process of picking up the pieces after a natural disaster and wanted to pay forward the goodwill they received after Hurricane Katrina. They quickly rallied the troops and raised some money, and what would ultimately become the ResQue contingent served 4000 meals to the Baton Rouge community, first-responders and deployed military.

Again in September of 2017, ResQue traveled to Texas to provide support to the communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. 3000 meals were served to these impacted and tool kits were distributed to members of the community who were performing flood remediation and construction.

These initial events were incredibly fulfilling for the volunteers that were involved and served as the inspiration for the creation of ResQue.

ResQue is fully certified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization.

The EIN for the organization is 82-2723695
